Very trustworthy garage run by experts .

Highly recommend. The mechanic Gus is so great- being a single mom I often have to worry about being ripped off, especially since I drive a European car, but I have always received honest, fair service from them and rarely if ever have left feeling that I'd been "upsold" anything- usually the opposite, truth be told. He also maintains my daughters old Honda Civic and makes sure she is always driving a safe reliable car without dropping more $ than the car is worth. You will always get great service here.

Gus fixed all the leaks on my 30 year old Mercedes for a reasonable price. Accomplishing even one of those things is nothing short of a miracle. Gus is a hard worker and a genuine car enthusiast, he is exactly what everyone should be looking for out of their mechanic.

The easiest and quickest 5 stars I have ever given. Bob, the owner, and Gus, the mechanic are humble and honest people.

I own a 2004 Toyota Sienna that is pretty well kept. I faithfully go to Toyota for regular oil changes but I will never go there ever again. From now on, Gus will take care of my car and here is the reason why. This is a true story.

The last time I went to Toyota for a routine oil change, they did a quick maintenance check as usual and they told me the valve cover gaskets needed to be replaced because they were leaking oil. I was very skeptical when they told me this because they were replaced 1 year before but not by them. I even asked to see it for myself so they took me into the repair area and showed me what did look like an oil leak from the engine. After that, I called around and was quoted at least $500 to do the job, same price Toyota told me too. Even though I saw a leak with my own eyes, I still felt like something was not right about it. I've had other issues with them before so I don't trust them at all.
I took my car to Motorworks and explained the situation to Gus. He took a quick peek at the the engine and he said: "They're lying to you." He confirmed what I was feeling. Gus has saved me $500.

When Gus talks to you and explains everything, you can tell that he is passionate about his job. I have complete trust in him and know that he will always do the right thing, and only what is actually necessary.

All the good reviews that this place gets are well deserved. They have a new customer for life.

I took my car in to replace the engine last month and had an exceptional experience. The mechanic was friendly and took the time to explain what they would be doing. They did a great job and it was ready on time. It's nice to know when you are in good hands!

Great honest mechanic, fair prices, and a quick turnaround. I would have ended up paying 2x as much for the same job at different shops around Bethel.

I am 2 for 2 with this Company. Hyundai and Jeep. Met the owner who also respects that the Customer is # 1 (NO MATTER WHAT). I am in a field where Customer Service Matters. Once again (in ten minutes) Gus verified what two mechanics said was a major issue and sent me on my way. I will make the drive every time to see these two until they give me a reason not to. Looking forward to a long term relationship.

They did an amazing job with my engine replacement. On time to get it back to me and everyone there was very professional. Would recommend to anyone and will be coming back here with future cars!!!

Just the nicest owner and mechanic I could ever expect. These people go above and beyond for the customer and make you feel like you matter. Bob the owner is a man of integrity and Gus the mechanic over extends himself to the customer and has no limits when it comes to wanting to help the customer. I cannot say enough good things about these people but I think it is a HUGE thing to know that when you take your car to motorworks in Bethel you are going to be dealt with fairly and honestly and you will never have to worry about being set up or preyed upon or lied to just so they can maximize their profits. This is the mode of operation for others not for the people at Motorworks in Bethel CT.

I am puzzled why these are not all 5 stars. I met Gus at Random after finally being done with Mobile Mechanics in CT. Not one is good for their word like in NY. I told Gus what was wrong with my Car (based on 2 mechanics) Had the parts and he gave me a price which was fair for a shop. He Humbly mandated a 30 second test drive of his own and I knew he already disagreed with the prior two mechanics. Not only was the quote half because it was a totally different Job and just a cleaning, this man explained everything to me in detail, shook my hand, didn't have me wait, and I can tell you one thing, I am no longer in search for a Mechanic. He was even modest enough to say after 3 Decades he still doesn't know it all, but he could have easily taken my money and he had me leave the shop quite happy. In-fact I am bringing him my Father's Car Today, and my second car next week. My Search is finally over. It's worth the drive for me for such experience and mannerism Gus provided.
